Thank You Mission Supporters

Dear Mission Supporter,

Thank you for working with me in support of my mission to Uganda with Aglow International on November 1-15, 2008. I took a list of all the names of the people who offered their prayer and/ or financial support with me to Uganda because I believe you were as much part of the mission as I was. I prayed for you always remembering that not only are their challenges on the mission field, but in our homes lives too.

The best way to describe this trip was overwhelming. Please forgive the delayed report from the Mission . I wanted to delay the report at Christmas time so that the report would not blend in with Christmas cards. This is not my first attempt to summarize all the wonders and challenges we faced on this productive Mission Trip. The first summary was too long, as my daughter said. I value her advice. I invite you to look at my blog (on the web) with a full report of the mission at:

www.uganda2008aglow.blogspot.com

I made this blog with you in mind to give you an interactive view of what the mission was like. The blog has pictures from team members, a leader’s summary, letters of thanks from the Pastors in Uganda , summary from each team member, reports from two Uganda Mission leaders and more.
Please consider not only seeing the blog but going to Uganda yourself. I told the Uganda people I would encourage you to visit this beautiful country with its wonderful people.

Our team ministered in Kampala , Kyenjojo, Entebbe and Mbale. 370 people came to know Jesus as their Savior at the Crusade in Kyenjojo. Many people in schools, jails and a hospital prayed to have Jesus Christ to come into their hearts. During meetings the Holy Spirit renewed, baptized, cleansed, set free many people as we shared Christ. At the Kyenjojo radio station million and half people heard testimony of Christ working in our lives and our prayers; some called back with answered prayer. We strengthen Aglow International ministry by promoting new chapters which will encourage people to live a life centered in Christ. Our mission trip gathered the Church leaders of Kyenjojo in a group that will work in the future as a team to see the promotion of Christ in their neighborhoods. These Pastor and Church leaders were encouraged and feed with balanced meals. One Pastor from the conference repented before the Lord, which healed a rift in their church. We prayed for what seemed like countless number of people personally by laying our hands on their shoulder and speaking what ever God put in our heart to say in the name of Jesus Christ. This prayer for many had tremendous impact some received physical healings. We shared gospel stories by puppets in orphanages and schools. We gave away vitamins, Bibles, clothing, shoes, gifts and as many things as our suitcases would hold. We became God’s partner in His work. We were challenged to do many things, some things we had never done before. We became ambassadors of Uganda to tell of the tremendous needs in their country. Every where we traveled we brought hope with us. Christ was lifted up we saw God work powerfully we were glad to be a part of it, so thank you.

I cannot thank you enough for your support and encouragement.

Your Co-labor in Christ,

Holly Lambert

I was very pleased to take Bibles from Bible Ministry on two mission trips. The mission trips purpose were to tell others about Jesus Christ, to encourage ministers and to start new churches.

On my first mission trip I was able to see first hand of the need for Bibles. The people in the Philippines were in need of just about everything. When I went to the Philippines I tried to carry as many Bibles as I could with me.

At that time I believed that the Bibles would go to Filipino people who had never known Jesus Christ as their Savior, or church members too poor to buy a Bible.

Our mission team was partnered with the Filipino mission team and to my surprise; some of the Filipino team did not even have a Bible as they were too poor to purchase one. A grateful Filipino teenager came up to me to thank me for the Bible which came from the Second Presbyterian Bible Ministry. He had never even seen a Bible of such high quality.

Where can we get more of these he said? This young person was in desperate need of a Bible. He has set his sights on becoming a Minister, yet he had no Bible or no money to buy one.

On my second mission trip, a trip to Uganda, I tried to squeeze in my suitcase even more Bibles: the people of Uganda are in extreme need; many orphans roam the streets of Kampala having no food to eat. Again, I met a young person: he was a youth minister, I handed him a Bible which I was using for study, it was like I handed him gold.

Another time I drop off a Bible at a school: as I handed the Bible to the school secretary, I realized that this highly prized book by the Uganda people would be one of the few books the school owned. The Uganda children learn most things by oral repetition and by use of what we would call a notebook. The many schools we visited had no libraries and few books. A Bible in school was an absolute treasure.

Personally, I have found the Bible to be a wonderful book and I like to read through it each year. Yearly I say: It's the best gift I give to myself.

Remember:

Wise people seek after the Bible and seek to see one who is revealed in it, Jesus Christ. Fools toss Bible away.

You have a chance to Give Bibles through Bible Ministry.

The Bible Ministry treasures Bibles and wants to give a wonderful gift to others.
It's your choice what you do with the Bible.

Read it, Ignore it, Share it, Hide it, Believe it, Distrust it. It's your choice.

YOU can even choose live the Bible when you try to live the Bible it will change your life.
